Group Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Definition of a Group Booking

A group booking is defined as:

  • 6 or more guests travelling together, or

  • Multiple reservations made under the same name or organiser.

Special terms apply to group bookings.

2. Booking Confirmation

  • A completed booking request form is required.

  • A valid credit/debit card must be provided to secure the reservation.

  • The booking is only confirmed once a written confirmation is issued by Kingsbridge Boutique Hostel.

We reserve the right to refuse group bookings at our discretion.

3. Deposit & Payment Terms

  • A non-refundable deposit of [20–30%] is required to confirm the group booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full [14–30 days] prior to arrival.

  • Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the deposit.

Payments may be made by card or bank transfer.

4. Cancellation Policy for Groups

  • Cancellations made more than [14–30 days] before arrival: deposit retained.

  • Cancellations made within [14 days] of arrival: up to 100% of the total booking may be charged.

  • No-shows: 100% of the total booking will be charged.

Any reduction in guest numbers within the cancellation period may be treated as a cancellation.

5. Room Allocation

  • Room types (dormitory/private) are subject to availability.

  • We cannot guarantee exclusive dorm use unless specifically booked and confirmed.

  • Room allocations may change prior to arrival for operational reasons.

6. Behaviour & Conduct

The group organiser is responsible for the behaviour of all group members.

The group agrees:

  • To respect other guests and staff

  • To comply with hostel house rules

  • To observe quiet hours between [Insert Time] and [Insert Time]

  • Not to bring illegal substances onto the premises

Kingsbridge Boutique Hostel reserves the right to:

  • Remove disruptive guests without refund

  • Charge for damage or excessive cleaning

  • Refuse future bookings from the organiser

7. Security Deposit

We may require a refundable security deposit of €[Insert Amount] upon arrival for group bookings.

This deposit may be used to cover:

  • Damage to property

  • Lost keys

  • Cleaning costs due to misconduct

The deposit will be returned within [7 days] after departure, subject to inspection.

8. Damage & Liability

The group organiser accepts financial responsibility for:

  • Damage caused by group members

  • Missing items

  • Breach of hostel policies

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings. Lockers may be provided, but we recommend travel insurance.

9. Age Restrictions

  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or authorised group leader.

  • Additional safeguarding requirements may apply for school groups.

10. Alcohol & Party Policy

Kingsbridge Boutique Hostel promotes a respectful and comfortable environment for all guests.

We may decline bookings for stag/hen parties or large party groups.
Where accepted, stricter behavioural conditions may apply.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Consumer protection matters fall under the supervision of the:
