1. General Policy
At Kingsbridge Boutique Hostel, we understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation terms depend on the rate selected at the time of booking.
By confirming a reservation, you agree to the cancellation terms associated with your chosen rate.
2. Flexible Rate Bookings
If you selected a Flexible Rate:
Free cancellation up to [48 hours] before scheduled arrival time.
Cancellations made within [48 hours] of arrival will be charged the first night’s stay.
No-shows will be charged the first night’s stay and the remaining nights may be cancelled.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
3. Non-Refundable Rate Bookings
If you selected a Non-Refundable Rate:
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations, modifications, or no-shows.
These discounted rates reflect the stricter cancellation terms.
4. Group Bookings (6 or More Guests)
Group bookings may be subject to:
A non-refundable deposit
A longer cancellation notice period (e.g., 7–14 days prior to arrival)
Specific cancellation terms will be provided in writing at the time of group confirmation.
5. Early Departure
If a guest chooses to depart earlier than the confirmed check-out date:
Refunds are not guaranteed.
Any refund will be at management discretion, depending on occupancy levels.
6. Force Majeure
Kingsbridge Boutique Hostel shall not be liable for failure to provide accommodation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Public health emergencies
Utility failures
In such cases, refunds or credits may be offered at management discretion.
7. Booking Platform Reservations
If you booked through a third-party platform (e.g., online travel agency), cancellation requests must be processed through that platform and are subject to their terms and conditions in addition to ours.
8. Refund Processing
Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
Any bank fees or currency exchange differences are the responsibility of the guest.
9. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer protection law. Consumer protection is overseen by the:
